This Shinto shrine (called Tokyo daijingu by the locals) is wildly popular with the Japanese, who come here to pray for happiness in marriage and for luck in love. This tradition has a long history here. The first Shinto marriage ceremony in whole of Japan is said to have taken place here, and even today, it is no surprise to see a couple come here to get married.
