Located on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center skyscraper, this observation deck provides sweeping views across the city skyline, Lake Michigan, and as far as four U.S. states. It features several unique attractions, including the TILT ride, a moving platform that tilts visitors outward for an exhilarating perspective, and CloudBar, a bar with panoramic vistas. Additional offerings include a skywalk and exhibits focused on Chicago's history, enhancing the experience with educational content.
The observation deck is housed within a structure designed in the high-tech architectural style by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Bruce Graham, and Fazlur Khan. The building itself stands 344 meters tall and accommodates commercial, residential, and office spaces. The deck also includes a restaurant and a high-altitude ice skating rink, contributing to its diverse amenities.
Open to the public, the space hosts special events and is wheelchair accessible, combining entertainment with accessibility and architectural significance.
