Often referred to as Duomo di Verona, this charming Romanesque cathedral was built after the 1117 earthquake, which destroyed two churches standing on the site. The exterior is notable mainly for its carved ornaments and a marvelous apse. Unlike the outer facade, the interior is Gothic in style - due to later renovations. Be sure to notice the frescoes and splendid arcades.
