Opened in 1958, this tower is a notable example of modern architecture designed by Tachū Naitō. It stands as a prominent communications and observation structure with a distinctive lattice steel framework inspired by the Eiffel Tower. The tower reaches a height of 332.6 meters and includes observation decks that offer 360-degree panoramic views from around 250 meters.
The facility combines sightseeing with shopping and dining, including shops selling original goods and various restaurants. It also functions as a TV and radio broadcasting tower. The tower occupies an area of approximately 4470 square meters and is located within the Shibakōen district.
The tower is accessible to the public and serves as a significant architectural landmark and tourist attraction, reflecting postwar modern Japanese design and urban development.
