Standing close to the Nuremberg castle, this seven-floors-tall house is one of the most impressive examples of the Late Gothic style in the city. Today, it occasionally houses various art exhibitions and otherwise remains unoccupied.

The Pilatushouse was built in 1489, at the orders of a certain Hans Grünwald. It has been switching owners ever since.
