Established in 1843, this independent higher education institution occupies the historic site of the Darlinghurst Gaol. It specializes in a studio-based teaching model for visual arts, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees alongside short courses. The campus serves as a hub for contemporary art practice, with faculty comprised of accomplished practicing artists.
The campus features the NAS Galleries, which include a dedicated Drawing Gallery and the Rayner Hoff Project Space.
