Mamaia is situated on the Romanian Black Sea coast in Constanța County, Dobrogea. It offers long beaches, shops, restaurants, and attractions such as Aqua Magic and a telegondola, making it a favored destination for tourists in the summer season. The resort has shallow, warm waters ideal for swimming, while the nightlife is vibrant with many clubs and bars.
Transport options previously included a railway line from Constanța station, which was dismantled in the 1960s. The resort sees most activity in summer, with only a few residents during winter months when the resort is largely closed due to colder water temperatures.
