Comuna 13

Built as illegal settlement, this area used to be one of the poorest and most dangerous in Medellín with fights of local gangs and guerrillas occurring on daily basis. However, those days are fortunately gone and nowadays, this district is relatively safe and open to everybody who wishes to explore its picturesque streets full of mesmerizing street art pieces.
