Admission
The monument stands approximately 57 meters tall and was constructed in 1888 to honor Christopher Columbus. It combines historicist and cast-iron architectural styles and serves as a significant symbol of the city's maritime history. Inside the structure, an elevator provides access to an observation deck that offers panoramic views of the city, the port, and surrounding areas. The monument includes sculptural elements and artworks that highlight themes related to European and American discoveries. It is wheelchair accessible and located at Plaça del Portal de la Pau.
