Originally a district of shipyards and factories, the Aker Brygge changed in the late 20th century, to become a hip neighbourhood full of restaurants, boutiques, and cafés. Just stroll along the boardwalk, enjoy the view of the sea and the ambient atmosphere.
Today, the place is full of life round the clock, so it is absolutely up to you whether you want to enjoy a nice lunch or see a picturesque sunset. If you don't fancy crowds, don't come on Sunday afternoons though, as it gets packed with people.
When visiting, do not miss taking a walk on the wharf and admiring art in one of the local galleries.
