Magic Fountain

The Magic Fountain was constructed in 1929 for the International Expo and is an example of Art Deco architecture designed by Carles Buïgas. Positioned at the foot of the Palau Nacional, it is renowned for its spectacular choreographies combining water, light, and music.

Its performances involve multimedia displays that synchronize water jets and lighting effects with musical accompaniment, creating visually compelling shows. The fountain has been a notable feature during major events, including the 1992 Olympics.

The site is wheelchair accessible and open to the public without charge. It represents a significant piece of the world's fair architecture and remains a landmark of artistic and engineering achievement.
