Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church

The church is a historic Protestant landmark known for its ruined west tower, which was heavily damaged during World War II and preserved as a war memorial. Alongside the ruins stands a modern church building, notable for its mosaic decorations and International Style architecture. Originally constructed in the Romanesque Revival style by Franz Schwechten in 1891, the site was later redesigned by Egon Eiermann following wartime destruction.

The preserved ruins and the new structures symbolize peace, reconciliation, and remembrance, making it a prominent cultural heritage monument. The damaged spire, standing at approximately 71 meters, remains a powerful reminder of the impact of war.
