This iconic architectural sculpture stands approximately 46 meters tall and consists of 16 floors with stairs and platforms designed as a hive-like structure. It was created by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio, inspired by ancient stepwells in India. The design offers unique visual perspectives and extensive views of the surrounding urban landscape and the Hudson River.
Located within a prominent urban development, the structure serves both as a public artwork and an observation point. It is fully wheelchair accessible, adhering to ADA accommodations. The steel construction emphasizes contemporary design and craftsmanship, blending art and architecture.
Officially opened in March 2019, this structure has become a destination for architectural appreciation and photography, embodying a modern approach to public space and sculptural form.
