This prime Baroque cathedral was built between 1722 and 1838. Since it took more than a hundred years to complete, several architects contributed to its design, including Vicente Acero, who also designed cathedrals in Granada and Málaga.
The cathedral features rococo elements and was eventually completed in Neoclassical style. It contains beautiful paintings and sculptures and its crypt is the resting place of the composer Manuel de Falla.
The ticket to the cathedral includes entry to the Torre del Reloj which offers marvelous views of the city. It's worth the climb!
