This Gothic cathedral was founded in 1352 and features a towering spire reaching 123 meters in height. The building showcases Brabantine Gothic architecture and was shaped by architects including Jan Appelmans and Pieter Appelmans. It holds a collection of important artworks, notably masterpieces by the Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the cathedral represents both religious and cultural heritage. It functions as a Roman Catholic cathedral and also serves as a museum, with a maximum capacity of 25,000 people.
