The Cairn of Peace Memorial is an Art Nouveau monument erected to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the Battle of Austerlitz. The memorial features statues representing France, Austria, Russia, and Moravia, alongside a chapel containing an ossuary. The monument stands 26 meters tall and includes a museum and sculptures that highlight its historical significance.
It is recognized as the first peace monument in Europe connected to the Battle of Slavkov and symbolizes the victory of the French over the Russian and Austrian armies. The memorial is an important cultural and historical landmark designed by architect Josef Fanta and offers insight into early 20th-century memorial architecture and symbolism.
