Albertina Museum

Housing one of the largest print rooms in the world, this museum also used to be the biggest Habsburg residential palace, inhabited by one of Maria Theresa's daughters.

The collection, which started in 1776, boasts over a million prints and tens of thousands of paintings dating all the way back to the 15th century. You can look forward to pieces from the all-over-the-world recognised artists - Picasso, Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, Degas and many others.

Aside from that, the museum houses frequent temporary exhibitions on graphic arts, photography, architecture and more. Do not miss out on the chance to see so many masterpieces that have shaped the world into the form we know it.

You can also visit 20 authentic palace rooms, and see how some of the Habsburgs used to live both in their ceremonial and private lives. The rooms were reconstructed in the year 2000 and equipped with original furniture.
