Completed in 1915, this royal residence was designed by Italian architect Mario Tamagno. Also known as the Lotus Pond Palace, the site has served as a home for members of the House of Mahidol, including Queen Savang Vadhana. It is the official residence of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and has hosted significant events such as the royal wedding of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
The grounds house the Queen Savang Vadhana Museum, which opened in 2008 to preserve cultural heritage. The museum offers workshops in traditional Thai arts and crafts, including fruit carving and flower arranging, with instruction provided by the Royal School of Crafts (Female). The palace gardens are used to grow vegetables for traditional recipes, such as the pickled vegetables sold through the Phu Fa shop.
While the palace grounds traditionally open for public museum access annually from December to February, the museum is currently temporarily closed for building renovations. The estate includes landscaped gardens and areas that have been leased for commercial development.
