The tower was built in 1642 and designed by Hans van Steenwinckel the Younger, showcasing notable baroque architecture. It stands 41.55 meters tall and originally functioned as an astronomical observatory. Its unique feature is a spiral ramp that winds up to the top, offering panoramic views of the city.
Besides its scientific history, the tower now operates as a museum and cultural venue hosting exhibitions and concerts.
