Lycabettus Hill

The hill rises to 270 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in the city. It is composed of Cretaceous limestone and offers extensive views across the urban landscape. At its summit stands a small chapel dedicated to Saint George, a notable religious landmark.

An ancient open-air amphitheater is also situated on the hill, historically used for performances and gatherings. The site is accessible by hiking paths and a funicular railway that connects the base to the top. Its combination of natural features and cultural structures marks it as an important scenic and recreational location.
