The gardens were created in their current form in 1937 and cover an area of approximately 93,930 square meters. They are characterized by terraces, English-style landscaping, and several impressive fountains and sculptures, including historical architectural elements from different eras. The gardens overlook the Seine and provide a broad perspective of the Eiffel Tower, making them a significant urban park in the 16th arrondissement.
Among the notable features are the large fountains that create dynamic water displays, complemented by various sculptures that enrich the park's cultural atmosphere. The site also hosts the Aquarium de Paris, which contains over 10,000 fish, interactive touch pools, live shows, and educational workshops focused on marine ecosystems.
The gardens remain open to the public and are frequently used for sightseeing, photography, and leisure activities, combining natural beauty with historic and artistic elements in a spacious urban setting.
