Admission
The museum houses more than 40 galleries exploring the natural world, including dinosaur skeletons, space, and cultures from around the globe. It features immersive exhibits and a planetarium known as the Hayden Planetarium, as well as an IMAX theater for educational screenings. The institution was designed by notable architects including Calvert Vaux, Rafael Guastavino, Jacob Wrey Mould, and James Polshek and serves as a major center for research and education in natural sciences. Facilities are wheelchair accessible and the museum provides family-friendly and educational programs.
