Svatý Kopeček is a historic village and municipal district that originated in the 17th century. It is a significant pilgrimage site characterized by its religious heritage and natural landscape. The area has a population of approximately 792 residents and functions as a recreational spot.
The Basilica of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary stands as the central landmark of the district. This baroque structure hosts annual pilgrimages and was elevated to the status of a basilica minor by Pope John Paul II.
The district is also home to the Olomouc Zoo. The site offers opportunities for hiking and relaxation, providing space for various outdoor activities.
