Also known by the locals as the Phoenix Mountain (Fung Wong Shan), it is the highest mountain of Lantau Island as well as the highest mountain reachable by tourists of Hong Kong. It is also a popular hiking destination.

The 934 metres tall peak can be accessed via Lantau Trail, a long path divided into 12 separate parts, which you enter from Pak Kung Au bus stop. You can also start your trek at the village of Ngong Ping, and just follow the signs.

Many visitors time their climb to the peak so that they could watch the famous sunrise from the mountain's top. It is said that the view is the best during winter months.
