Constructed in the latter half of the 15th century on foundations dating back to the 10th century, this castle has been held by noble families such as the Luquet du Chaylar and de Salignac de Lamothe-Fénelon. The structure consists of two main wings arranged at a right angle and connected by a prominent round tower. Notable architectural details include mullioned windows and a spiral staircase.
The building is a privately owned residence and has been designated as a monument historique since 1979. It has undergone restoration and remains inhabited.
