The museum is housed in the building where Rembrandt van Rijn lived and worked from 1639 to 1656. It includes a reconstructed 17th-century interior and a large collection of Rembrandt's paintings, etchings, and sketches, as well as works by his contemporaries. The museum also offers demonstrations related to his artistic techniques and presents detailed exhibitions about his biography and the historical context of his time.
