Its construction began in 1163 and involved prominent architects including Jean de Chelles, Pierre de Montreuil, Pierre de Chelles, Jean Ravy, and Raymond du Temple. The building includes impressive features such as a vaulted ceiling, flying buttresses, a detailed facade, and a spire.
Located on the Île de la Cité, it covers an area of 5500 square meters and can accommodate up to 9000 people. Recognized as a national monument and a minor basilica, it holds significant religious and cultural importance. The cathedral also functions as a burial site and contains important elements of Gothic art and stained glass.
